Uncle Danny Dukes Started It
Dukes Bar-B-Que was founded over 45 years ago by Uncle Danny Dukes. The franchise grew, and today there are 9 Duke Bar-B-Ques in South Carolina. Rauly and Jan Judy opened their first Dukes restaurant in 1992 in Allendale, SC.
All of It Smoked Over Hickory
All of our barbeque is smoked with hickory wood and cooked to perfection. We take great pride in offering not only great barbeque but also a variety of vegetables and sides, most of them cooked from scratch and made fresh.
A Fire, and a New Building
In June 2022 we faced a major fire, which meant starting over with a new building. It opened in January 2024, and the all-you-can-eat buffet came back with it.

Aiken Is Our Only Location
Rauly and Jan opened their second restaurant here in Aiken in 1996 and eventually made it their primary and only location. Christian was 4 years old when his parents opened their first restaurant, and he has grown up in the family business.
